In our 1st Annual Buena Vista/National Civics Bee,
Middle Schoolers from across the region have submitted
essays and CONGRATULATIONS to the top 20 as they move on to the
Buena Vista LIVE Competition!

Why Civics?

We believe that informed and active citizens make for a strong country, a strong economy, and a strong workforce, and that our continued prosperity depends
on the strength of all three.
The National Civics Bee is a way to promote greater civics knowledge and civic participation across the country, and to energize our community
with a celebration of civic pride.

Prizes

Each finalist will receive a certificate and a brand new TABLET.
At the local Buena Vista Civics Bee:
First Place Winner will receive a $500 cash prize.
Second Place Winner will receive a $250 cash prize.
Third Place Winner will receive a $125 cash prize.

PLUS: TOP 3 Winners at BV Event will be invited to particpate at the
CO State Competion on May 19!

(Denver, May 19):
First Place Winner will receive $1,000 cash prize.
Second Place Winner will receive $500 cash prize.
Third Place Winner will receive $250 cash prize.
