We welcome our good friend and local favorite AJ Fullerton back to our stage for a series of free dinner shows Sunday 5/21-Tuesday 5/23, and Thursday 5/25-Sunday 5/28. A.J. Fullerton is a Roots, Rock, & Blues artists originally from Montrose, CO. He grew up listening to by artists like; Mississippi John Hurt, Taj Mahal, T Model Ford, Albert Collins, R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, The Black Keys, Patrick Sweany, North Mississippi Allstars, Robert Belfour, and many more. Since picking up the guitar as a teenager, A.J. has become known for his signature style of fingerpicking & bottleneck slide guitar.
Thursday night we get to enjoy Arkansauce! Arkansauce is a genre-hopping, four piece string band from northwest Arkansas, bending the rules and blurring the lines between bluegrass, newgrass, folk, americana, with notes of country, blues, and funk. With a loyal following growing every day in the Natural State and along their tour routes, the band is proud to be stepping into a hard-driving sound unique to the Arkansas quartet.
Friday night we hand the stage over to Tyler Grant & Friends. A National Flatpicking Champion and renowned guitarist, singer, songwriter, storyteller, producer and educator–Tyler Grant’s adventurous career has spanned the better part of thirty years, and has taken him from sideman to bandleader; and young hotshot to mentor in the Bluegrass, Americana and Jam Band scenes. His sixth solo release, Tryin’ To Have A Good Time, captures the image of a life-long wanderer staking out musical roots which extend to a canopy of song, inviting the listener into a home long sought after.
Saturday evening is Hunter James and The Titanic’s turn on our stage. Forging the dusty sounds of Southern R&B with the lyrical acuity of Folk, Hunter James and the Titanic is a Rock and Roll band assembled from the best and brightest of the Colorado music scene.
