We have two amazing artists coming to the rope this weekend!
Friday evening we welcome The Stews back to our stage. After releasing debut album What Was in April of 2022, The Stews have been a non-stop touring machine, playing packed-out shows across the country. Forming at Auburn University, the band ultimately decided to leave school to meet the massive demand for their live shows. With sellout crowds from Nashville to New York, Charleston to Dallas, and several in between, it is clear that The Stews have graduated from their former “college band” label. A Stews concert is a perfect blend of upbeat, singalong indie tunes and downright headbanging hard rock.
Saturday night will be featuring Head For The Hills. Head for the Hills–Adam Kinghorn, Joe Lessard, Matt Loewen–come out swinging and invigorated with fresh sounds on their latest EP, Say Your Mind (out March 22). Recorded at Swingfingers Studios in Fort Collins (Colorado), the band brought a larger band than ever before, including drummer Darren Garvey of Elephant Revival, Vocalist Kim Dawson, Dobroist Todd Livingston, a horn section and more. The material reflects both the turbulent social rhythms of our current era and more timeless moments of joy, growth, and change—think #MeToo, the current body politic, and inequality, but also relationships, fatherhood and growing up.
Tickets for both shows can be bought in person (fee-free!) from any bartender or server on-site, or on our website thelariatbv.com. We’ll see you on the dance floor!
