We are absolutely, 100% dedicated to doing cool things that benefit our members and create ways for us all to have more fun and more success in Buena Vista. We are dedicated to doing our part to cultivate a vibrant small business sector and a vibrant, interesting, safe, and supportive community overall. In pursuit of this goal we have an enticing slate of special projects and events in the works for the coming year. Your participation helps us all activate our shared visions and goals for our work and community. Whether you want to offer your time or financial resources, we’ve got a way for you to participate!
Why Become a Member?
Every project takes time and resources to activate. We invite our members to sponsor projects they resonate with and want their name attached to. Sponsorships help make our work possible and we are very grateful for your enthusiasm and vision! Sponsors receive signifiant additional exposure as we promote your project. Members can also promote their sponsorship as part of their own marketing. You are a great member of the community! Let’s join forces to let everyone know what kind of difference you are making in the community!
All sponsorships are for a one year term.

Why Join a Members Only Committee
The BV Chamber is just launching Member’s Only Committees. This will give our members an opportunity to participate in special projects, visioning and advocacy for the betterment of our community. We’d love to have you involved.
All Committee commitments are for a one year term.

Do you want to help us celebrate new members by participating in ribbon cuttings? This is a fun group to join and sponsor! Don a red vest and attend ribbon cuttings to cheer on our new members while helping increase visibility as we introduce them to the public.
Chamber Ambassadors serve as goodwill representatives for the Chamber of Commerce. Help welcome new businesses, attend events, and represent the Chamber in the community.

FUNDRAISING GOAL: $5,000
We have a direct line to speaking with the public – through the in person connections at the Welcome Centered events, and via our online channels. We intend to increase our messaging around responsible recreation including fire safety and leave no trace. We also want to share info about safety in the mountains and rivers.
We have several community organizations and collaborations in the works. We also plan to wrap our members into messaging as well.

The Civics Bee is one of our absolutely favorite events. We believe society works best when people feel free to speak their minds and when a collective ability to listen and discuss is cultivated.

FUNDRAISING GOAL: $5,000
We believe the HWY 24 corridor through BV should be an inviting, beautiful, and walkable business district. Help us as we transform it from a speed by highway into a vibrant and enjoyable part of our downtown. We aim to beautify the HWY 24 business corridor and are working the town’s beautification committee and other departments within the town of BV towards reducing the speed limit, adding additional crosswalks, making existing crossings more visible, and beautifying the entire corridor with ideas like matching flags and flowerpots, for example.

We are dedicated to advocating for MUCH better, curbed, separate, safe bike lanes connecting neighborhoods and trailheads and safer and more abundant crosswalks throughout the town of Buena Vista.
Residents have been begging town to do something about this for too many years with almost no action. It’s time to step up and create the safe and interconnected town we envision.
As town grows and traffic increases, more and more people want reliable, convenient public transportation options. Let’s advocate for this and make it happen!

This event is hosted monthly at rotating local businesses.
We are seeking additional sponsors to help make this fun monthly event a reality.

Everyone loves Community Coffee! We have consistently monthly networking gatherings on the first Wednesday of each month. The Chamber promotes these every week in the BV Buzz and regularly on our socials. Sponsor Community Coffee., our free and open to the public monthly event.
At Community Coffee, anyone who wants to can sign up to speak and share about your business, project or event, or to ask for help in their business. We go around in a circle and it’s a really great way to spend an hour!

We opened the Welcome Centers in June 2024 after it had been closed for several years. We want to build capacity, extend hours, display materials in better ways and promote positive messaging around responsible recreation.
Your sponsorship increases your visibility everywhere we promote the Welcome Center – online and in person.

Many of our member businesses and nonprofits are unable to offer employee benefits like health insurance. In a small and very seasonal economy, the system isn’t really designed for us. We will be bringing in experts to discuss options, possible create an umbrella u=insurance program for members, and find other creative, affordable and effective ways to offer benefits to business owners add staff. Be in on the conversation.

The BV Chamber hosts an online Events Calendar. We share this weekly in our popular BV Buzz newsletter. We envision this to be much more robust, and to become the go to feed for ALL of the amazing happenings around town.
One of the most asked questions we get is how to keep up on local events. People really want a one stop shop for events. We can make that happen.
The more we add to it the more people will use which makes it so much more valuable. Help us build this out and make it a truly indispensable community resource.

In 2025 we will once again be printing a Visitors Guide. We send these out to Chambers of Commerce all across Colorado. Nearly every single person who has walked into the Welcome Center this has picked one up (A now outdated version from 2023). Local businesses especially hotels and vacation rentals also love to share these printed guides with their visitors.

There are all kinds of input our members want to collectively share with the town on matters that affect us, and that town works on. Let’s join together to support town in their endeavors and make sure we have a clear voice in matters we care about.
The Town of Buena Vista is undergoing a 10-year Comprehensive Plan update. The BV Chamber intends to share the voice of our members during this process. This takes significant time to keep up on and participate in in a thoughtful and useful way. Please help sponsor our advocacy for the future vision and goals of BV.
