Justin’s Egg Nog
(makes 8 quarts)
This is my favorite egg nog. Most egg nog is really thick, and you can drink maybe a small bit before feeling gross. This egg nog recipe is lighter, so you can drink more of it!
18 eggs
3 cups sugar
1 cup bourbon
2 cups spiced rum
2 cups brandy
1 quart half and half (or if you like it thicker, 2 quarts half and half and a quart less milk)
1 gallon whole milk
4 tbsp. vanilla extract
3 tbsp. ground cinnamon
2 tbsp. ground nutmeg
In a big pot, mix cinnamon, sugar, and nutmeg together. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth.
Continue mixing while you add all liquids. You can pour into mason jars and give them out as gifts, or just save it all for yourself!
