The Comanche is now closed for the season.
It has been a great year and we want to thank you all for your patronage. The onset of the pandemic led to new avenues of entertainment for the Comanche. Because Hollywood had very few new movies, we offered some great classics on the big screen.
We were honored to be able to help the BVHS seniors have a graduation they will always remember.
We had several on screen concerts, along with offering the facilities to various organizations for different fund raisers and events.
We had the movie “A Rush of Hope” filmed at the drive in. This included a free live concert by ‘For King & Country’. You can see the entire film on YouTube.
We ended the season with some fun events, a Halloween Trick or Treat and free movie for the kids, a free movie for high school kids and the presentation of the BVHS drama play. Again we’d like to thank everyone who made our Halloween event a success. Thanks to the businesses who provided candy booths for the trick or treaters: The Chaffee County Fire Dept, Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office, High Country Bank, Paula’s Place Pampered Chef, Brown Dog Coffee, Kreative Designs, All Around Tire, MJ Auto, Rally Liquors, Heart of the Rockies Radio and Comanche Drive In family and staff.
A special thanks to Salida’s Relaxation Dental Specialties for the fun/scary spook house and ACA and crew for providing great entertainment for the kids with candy bags flying off the cement truck belt. Thanks also to those of you who donated bags of candy for the event. A great time was had by all and we appreciate everyone’s support.
A special thanks to all of you and our family and staff for making this a great season. The Comanche will reopen in the Spring of 2021.
We look forward to next summer, hopefully without COVID restrictions!!
