The Board of County Commissioners is accepting applications for a full-time grant-funded position as Client & Program Coordinator with the Small Business Development Center. This position is impactful and rewarding work that supports our region’s small businesses, entrepreneurs and startups. Duties include assisting small business clients with technical assistance and business resources in day-to-day client and consultant support and coordination, workshop and event programming support and social and newsletter channels of communication. Work logistics are somewhat flexible and can be discussed. The schedule allows flexibility, as some work will be required outside of normal business hours. However, the program consultant must generally be available to respond to and conduct client and consultant outreach within a business hour range and available for occasional evening or weekend support. Prefers someone with strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual Spanish/English; prior experience in owning, operating or working with small businesses; prior coordination and collaboration experience; financial or office management experience. Starting salary range of $40,000 to $45,000; benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurances, disability, retirement plan, paid leaves and holidays.
