Mel Naber, Licensed Massage Therapist, Integrative Therapeutic Massage
Originally from Holland, Michigan, I moved to Colorado in 2008 to play volleyball for CU Boulder. After college I attended massage school in Tucson, Arizona where I specialized in sports massage and deep tissue work. After finishing school I was hired by the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain in Tuscon. After 5 years in Tucson I realized that Colorado would always be home. I was able to transfer to the Ritz Carlton, Bachelor Gulch. I decided to live in Buena Vista in 2014 to pursue my dream of being a raft guide. I have been guiding in the summer while massaging in the winter for the last 2 years. I am beyond excited to begin practicing in a community I love so much. My massage work combines deep tissue, myofascial and trigger point therapy among other modalities.
John Farrell, ROLF Practitioner, ROLF Therapy
Structural integration, or Rolfing, is a modality of body-work brought to us by the teachings of Ida P. Rolf. It is the practice of bringing people to a place of balance and ease in their everyday lives. The practitioner works with a client’s connective tissue (fascia) to help re-organize fascial layers, release old energy and let go of habitual movement patterns that are no longer helpful.
Molly Taparausks, Licensed Massage Therapist, Integrative Therapeutic Massage
I was born and raised in a small town in Vermont. I moved to Colorado in 2001 to study herbal medicine and to snowboard. After sever years of being a “ski bum” I enrolled in Boulder College of Massage where I completed a 1000-hour program in 2008. Continuous education keeps me engaged in my work, which is constantly evolving. I have studied Swedish, Sports, Orthopedic, Shiatsu, Myoskeletal Alignment, Polarity Therapy, Myofascial, Neuromuscular and Lomi Lomi. I don’t specialize in any one modality but draw from my knowledge base to cater to each individual’s needs. I feel blessed to do this work. It brings me a sense of serenity and keeps me grounded. I could study bodywork for a lifetime and still know so little so I am constantly motivated to keep learning. Outside of work, I cherish my time with my family enjoying all the beauty that surrounds us here in this amazing state!
