Fourth of July Festivities 2024
PARADE | FESTIVAL | FIREWORKS
Every 4th of July, Buena Vista, Colorado, transforms into a vibrant festival of red, white & blue celebrations, attracting locals and tourists alike. Our annual Independence Day festivities kick off with a traditional parade featuring vintage cars, elaborate floats, local organizations rolling down our historic Main Street.
After the parade, head over to McPhelemy Park for our vendor festival with live music on the new stage, a locally crafted beer and wine tent, food trucks, and over 40 vendors to shop from.
This year the festival will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2024 from 8:00am - 5:00pm (tentative start/end times).

The Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce is no longer hosting this event. We will do our best to update the schedule when the event organizers makes it available. Check back closer to the event for an updated 2024 Schedule of Events!
7:00 - 10:00? am: Optimist Club Pancake Breakfast (Behind K’s at Columbine Park)
10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Festival at McPhelemy Park
Kids Games | Face Painting / LIVE Music | Beer Garden / Food Trucks | Artisan Market
8:30am: INDEPENDENCE DAY Fun Run 5k and 3k
10:00 am: BUENA VISTA 4th of JULY Parade (starting at River Park and traveling west to Railroad - NOTE The parade no longer crosses the highway so plan to set up viewing east of the light).
8:30pm-ish (Dusk): FIREWORKS, sponsored by The American Legion, Post 55
